How it works?

During a Hot Stone Massage, one of our expert therapists will heat a set of Basalt river rocks in a special heater. These stones will then be placed on strategic areas of your body, for example:

Your spine
Your arms and hands
Your legs and feet
Your abdomen and chest
Your face

The heat and weight of these stones will penetrate to deeper tissues to provide a more effective relaxation experience. Your masseuse may even use a hot stone to scrape along certain muscle groups on your body. This Chinese-style, Gua Sha, massage technique is particularly good for releasing the tension in tight muscle areas. Throughout the massage, your expert therapist will use Swedish massage techniques, such as kneading, tapping and vibration to ensure all muscles are adequately stretched, resulting in a complete release of tension in your body.
