Introduction

​In Thailand, a traditional massage, called Nuat Phaen Thai, has been used for thousands of years because of its relaxing and healing properties.

Despite this, the Traditional Thai Massage is relatively new in western culture. That’s why Wasana Spa in Burgess Hill is proud to offer this ancient Thai therapy to the people of West Sussex.

How it works?

A Traditional Thai Massage involves two people: The practitioner and the recipient. Both remain fully clothed in loose comfortable clothing throughout the massage experience.

There is no oil involved either. Using a combination of acupressure, Ayurvedic techniques and yoga positions, the practitioner, using their hands and feet, aims to stretch and compress the recipient’s body in a rhythmic fashion. With other massage experiences, the recipient plays quite a passive role, but with a Traditional Thai Massage, the practitioner will manoeuvre the recipient in such a way that their involvement in the massage process becomes more active.

A 90-minute experience is £85.00

A 120-minute therapy is £109.00
